Every generation gets an artist who feels instantly familiar — someone whose voice carries old‑school soul but whose story belongs entirely to now. For South London singer‑songwriter Valentina, that moment arrives on 18 September 2026, when she releases her debut single and officially steps into the spotlight.

But her journey didn’t start with fame, industry connections or a viral moment. It started with family, resilience, and a love for music that refused to let go.

A South London Girl With an Old Soul

Valentina grew up in a vibrant mix of Italian and Filipino culture — food, family gatherings, karaoke nights, and a grandfather who sang opera everywhere he went. Music wasn’t a hobby; it was the background noise of her entire childhood.

Her influences came early and came heavy: Amy Winehouse, Adele, Raye, plus the soul, jazz and classical music her family adored. People often tell her she has an “older voice,” and she agrees — but she’s not trying to recreate the past. She’s trying to bring that soul into her generation.

“I want to take the music I love and find where it belongs today.”

    Finding Herself Through Music

Like many young artists, Valentina’s teenage years weren’t easy. At 16, she faced bullying, isolation and the pressure to fit in. She changed herself so much that she eventually didn’t recognize who she was.

    Music became the lifeline.

Writing gave her a place to put emotions she couldn’t say out loud. Songs about heartbreak, confusion and identity helped her rebuild herself piece by piece. That honesty still defines her writing today.

“A song can meet you at a point in your life when you feel completely lost and make you feel understood.”

In a world where everything feels manufactured, Valentina wants her music to feel human.

From Hiding in Wardrobes to Ronnie Scott’s

Valentina wasn’t always confident. As a kid, she literally hid around the house so nobody would hear her sing. But her family kept pushing her — school productions, drama scholarships, performances at family events.

Eventually, she stepped onto bigger stages: COYA Mayfair. Bardo St James’s. Ronnie Scott’s.

Ronnie Scott’s was the turning point — the first time she performed her own original music in front of an audience. It was the moment she realized she wasn’t just singing anymore. She was becoming an artist.

Italy: The Second Home That Became a Stage

Italy has always been part of Valentina’s life, but it became part of her career too.

At Minturno Musica Estate, she performed in front of thousands — her biggest audience yet. She spoke to the crowd in Italian, performed her music, and owned the stage in a language that isn’t her first.

Then came the moment nobody expected.

She was scheduled to open for legendary Italian singer Al Bano. Two hours before the show, he asked her to join him on stage to sing his iconic hit “Felicità.”

She learned the Italian verses on the spot. She performed beside him. And he asked her to close the show with him.

It was the kind of moment that changes an artist’s trajectory.

Choosing Music — Even When It Wasn’t the Easy Choice

Valentina didn’t grow up in a family that pushed entertainment careers. She felt pressure to pursue something “proper,” even applying to the BRIT School — and getting rejected.

    But she didn’t stop.

She secretly auditioned for BIMM with help from her sister, got accepted, and eventually told her parents she wanted to leave sixth form to study music. They supported her.

Years later, she made another bold move: In February 2026, she quit her job to pursue music full‑time.

It was a risk. But it was the right one.

A New Chapter With Cronx Records

Now, Valentina begins her next era with Cronx Records, ready to bring her voice to a wider audience. Her debut single arrives 18 September 2026, followed by a Christmas EP and a major festival performance in Tuscany in 2027 in front of more than 20,000 people.

Her story already spans South London, Italy, Dubai, New York and Los Angeles — but her mission stays simple:

She wants to make music that means something.

Music that feels honest. Music that feels human. Music that makes someone feel understood.

    The Valentina Story Has Begun

She’s not chasing fame. She’s not trying to be someone else’s idea of an artist. She’s a South London girl with Italian and Filipino roots, an old‑soul voice, and a lifetime of stories she’s finally ready to tell.

Her debut single marks the beginning of that journey.
